Questions and Conversations on Faith

Wednesday April 24 6:30-8:00 pm | @MLC

As we all ponder the good news wrapped up with the resurrection of Jesus, we want to provide an opportunity for a friendly conversation with anyone who wants to explore faith in Jesus at this season of their life.  So, we want to invite you to a conversation on faith!  This will be an informal gathering with coffee and dessert in which we will listen to each other, share experiences, and look at faith in Jesus, as well as obstacles to faith, that are common to many of us. So bring you questions and experiences and let’s enter into a meaningful and enriching conversation about faith.

Stations of the Cross

April 17-18, 11:00 AM-2:00 PM & 4:00-7:00 PM

“Unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds” (John 12:24). As we enter Holy Week, we invite you to meditate on the meaning of Christ’s death in order to die to ourselves and live for God and others. We are accustomed to experiencing the joy of Easter morning, but to get to Sunday, we must first journey through Good Friday and the Cross. The Stations of the Cross are 11 experiences that allow us to journey with Jesus to the cross through all of our senses. This is designed to be a family-friendly experience, so if you have children in first grade or higher, we encourage you to take this journey as a family. Childcare is provided for kids 5 and under on Thursday, April 18 from 4-7 pm.

Good Friday Communion Service

Friday, April 19th, 7:00 PM

This special worship service is one of the most important services of the year.  The entire one-hour service is focused on the meaning and significance of the death of Jesus Christ for our sins.  The service culminates in a beautiful time of sharing communion together and providing participants an opportunity to kneel or stand before a large wooden cross that we put in place at the front of the church.

Pep talk: Let’s not Raise Darth Vader

Saturday, May 4, 9:00-11:00 am

Parenting is hard. We dream for our kids to become heroes, like Luke and Leia, who save the galaxy from the evil forces. But there are days we think we have the next Darth Vader on our hands. How do we make sure our kids stick to the faith we raised them in? At times we feel alone in this battle, which is why we need each other. Please join us for our first PEP (Parents Encouraging Parents) Talk, in which we will have a conversation facilitated by Mountain Life parents who are a little further along in the journey. Free brunch and free childcare included.
